Raaga is India's gift to the world of music & this highly ancient and glorious heritage of India is introduced through the Mewati Gharana of which Padmabibhushan Pandit Jasraj ji , Saptarshi ji's Guru , is the living legend.This forms the essence of nurturing the musical mind of the aspiring student.Equal emphasis is laid on developing an aptidute towards the rhythm aspect of Hindustani music which in itself is a matter of indepth study.

Bhakti & Vedanta Movements
Large number of devotional songs in Classical Raagas were composed during the Bhakti movement by poets such as Meerabai , Soordas , Mahaprabhu Ballavacharya , Kumbhandas etc. & the Vedanta revivalist movement of Adi Shankaracharya whose stotras form a significant part of the Mewati Gharana lineage taught at Kalaateertha.
Rabindrasangeet & Ghazals
Owing to his upbringing under the guidance of his grandfather Radhika Ranjan Chakraborty who was a close disciple of Rabindranath Tagore , Saptarshi ji has inherited the essence & nuances of Rabindrasangeet as well which he teaches earnestly to his aspiring students.
Urdu love songs popularly known as Ghazals are a favourite among Classical music artistes & connoisseurs alike and Kalateertha provides ghazal trainning in the advanced levels of learning.
